[Bug 513621] New: After finishing the installation
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=513621 Summary: After finishing the installation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@novell.com ReportedBy: jarlgjessing@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; da; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) I installed using the openSUSE-KDE4-LiveCD-Build0116-x86_64 cd. Everything worked fine, but after rebooting to start the newly installed opensuse, I got a message saying that there were no bootable drive. The exact same setup works for openSuSE 11.1. The boot partition is placed after the Windows 7 partition, that is 40Gb in on the disk. That might be a problem? But as it works on openSuSE 11.1 so it should work on newer also. Should that not be expectable? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install onto harddisk 2. Reboot 3. Actual Results: The machine cannot reboot Expected Results: The machine should be able to boot up in openSuSE -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
