I'd like to add that I installed the new kernel 2.6.32 and the problem persists.
Can you describe your environment a bit more? Have you tried different switches or a crossover cable plugged into another machine? How are you testing the network? This line in your log would lead me to believe you might have a bad cable or switch: <6>[ 18.186455] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I don't know is is maybe the 64bit version of OS that causes the problem.
If you are able to confirm this then please reopen the bug. (In reply to comment #5)
It seems like a hardware problem.
Closing this as INVALID. If you feel you have figured out an environment in which it always fails despite re-seating the card and checking the cable then please feel free to reopen. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
