I'm afraid you need to edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-monitor.conf appropriately. The cable maybe? Then it could be missing pins, so that DDC (monitor detection) is not possible. You don't need a Modeline. What you need is HorizSync and VertRefresh.
