[Bug 434920] New: Strange result from "zypper search"
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=434920 Summary: Strange result from "zypper search" Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: cmorve69@yahoo.es QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Using zypper-0.12.8-1.1 from zypp:svn OBS repo on openSUSE 11.0. $ LC_ALL=C zypper se -s --match-exact kio_iso Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... S | Name | Type | Version | Arch | Repository --+-------------+---------+-------------+--------+------------------ i | kio_iso | package | 1.90.0-31.1 | x86_64 | (System Packages) i | acetoneiso2 | package | 2.0.2-1.1 | x86_64 | KDE4 Community In the second search I though I was asking for packages installed from the kde4_community repository. But what I obtain is a list of installed packages that happen to have a version available in kde4_community, even if the installed version is from another repository. This behavior is open to interpretation, but then the "Version" column specifies only the version installed, not the one available at kde4_community. And the "Repository" column says "(System Packages)" instead of "openSUSE Oss" or "openSUSE DVD". Everything is confusing, and the Repository column plain wrong. Not sure about the best solution, but there is a problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
