For someone who never wants their root password saved, they always have to uncheck the remember password box every time they enter in their root password. This gets pretty annoying. Then there are people who do want the password saved. They just click on through. So to me this behavior doesn't make sense. What should happen is it should be left unchecked all the time. This is because the only people that pay attention to this box are people that don't want their password saved. I was not seeing this checkbok before (see bug #389958) and would be nice an explanation on this, so why some users running 10.3 *can see* that checkbox and others don't? :-? On the other hand, I think this option (I mean, displaying the checkbox or not and having it checked by default or not) should be totally configurable by the user. It is meant to be checked by default, in line with 10.3's behaviour. If you uncheck it, it will stay unchecked though, and that works here. You probably need to update your kdebase3 too (3.5.9-61 should be enough).

It seems does not work here. Running "kdebase3-3.5.9-91.3" but if I unckeck the checkbox, next time I open yast it remains there, marked. Works for me on 10.3 too. Make sure your kdelibs3 has a changelog entry from May 27th, it took a while to get into buildservice.
