There is a button labeled "Raid" in Expert Partitioner where on can create and remove software raid devices. Please describe exactly which step your are doing so that we can conclude what you mean. Of course y2log files would be needed in addition. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Please attach y2log files so that I can see what exactly you are meaning. Alternatively you can make a screenshot of the dialog box you are seeing that miss the raid functionality. I am not speaking of just running the partitioner tool from YAST. Place a installation disk in, select other in liu of NEW installation or Upgrade and access the expert repair tools and a different partitioner program is executed. There is no YAST log file to attach as this is during the installation phase. This is the best I can do. Installation bugs are very hard to find log files or capture screen. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=215193 ------- Comment #6 from alpha096@tpg.com.au 2006-11-01 17:07 MST ------- I attempted to do an ATL+Print Screen during installation phase to capture the partitioner tool executed from installation disk - however I was unsuccessfully and lost the image on exiting the installation program. Just follow steps in #4 above its is very easy to re-produce. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Now I found code that removes some buttons when in repair mode: if( Mode::repair () ) { button_raid = false; button_loop = false; button_lvm = false; button_evms = false; button_adapt_mp = false; } Any idea why this code is there? I see no real reasons to remove these buttons when called from yast2-repair. When the user is allowed to repartition his disks and format devices, why not let him set up Raid, LVM and EVMS also? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
