Server aborting [ 74233.656] [ 74233.656] Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set the Flux screensaver 2. Lock the screen 3. Move the mouse 4. Note that the unlocing dialog is only partially displayed and flickering (maybe related bug) 5. Type your password and click OK Actual Results: X server crashes _ALMOST_ always in fact. Actually once it worked correct, and once the flickering of the unlock dialog continued on the whole desktop without crashing, but it became unusable and finally I had to kill it from a text console. Expected Results: The unlock dialog should not flicker and X server should not crash. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Might be a dup of Bug #617651. Could you update xorg-x11-server package from
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.3/x86_64/
to verify?
It's definitely better. The particular crash situation mentioned in the title of this report is solved but I still observe kernel crashes seemingly related to GLX, so I still have to disable desktop effects in order to prevent several crashes a day. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Ok. So the original issue has been resolved. The remaining issue would be required to be tracked in a seperate bugreport.
With the newest 11.3 kernel and recent Xorg packages from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.3 my X seems to be quite stable. I could even turn on compiz. It's OK that you marked it reolved, but in fact it's only resolved for the users using that special Xorg repository. Can we expect an official Xorg update for openSUSE 11.3 in order to make this issue really resolved for every user? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
