12.1 is not yet in maintenance, forwarding to coolo.
Only critical bugs will be accepted before GM now, so that's why we're looking at the maintenance update path. But maybe coolo is fine with us pushing this to GM?
Is there a package submission for 2.2.1 that has been tested already?
It's been submitted to GNOME:Apps, yes. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

... It also provides a DVD playback feature which should be of high visibility by users.
This is incorrect. Banshee 2.2.x release series come from the stable branch. This means that subsequent releases after 2.2.0 (2.2.1, 2.2.2) are bugfix only, they don't include new features. The release that includes DVD support is 2.3.1, not to be confused with 2.21. (In reply to comment #7)
it won't go into GM - so just wait till the maintenace queue gets active. It's just one week :)
Why cannot it go into GM? As explained above, 2.2.1 is a bugfix release that is completely harmless for the user.
