[Bug 481123] New: loopback mount of ISO produces incorrect /etc/mtab entry
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=481123 Summary: loopback mount of ISO produces incorrect /etc/mtab entry Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jim.foris@med.ge.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009020414 CentOS/3.0.6-1.el5.centos Firefox/3.0.6 After mounting an ISO, the "/etc/mtab" entry reports the file system as mounted (rw). This makes the "mount" command report it as (rw), too. A cat of "/proc/mounts" shows the mount correctly as (ro). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Loopback mount any ISO file. 2. type "mount" - see results related to new mount 3. type :/cat/proc/mounts" - see results related to new mount May be a minor problem - but need root cause to determine for sure. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
