There are several places to look when you encounter problems with your system, most of which are standard to Linux systems in general, and some of which are relevant to &productname; systems. The two most important system logs (<filename>/var/ log/boot.msg</filename> and <filename>/var/log/messages</filename>) can be viewed with &yast; (<menuchoice> <guimenu>Miscellaneous</guimenu> <guimenu>Start-Up Log</guimenu> </menuchoice> or <menuchoice> <guimenu>Miscellaneous</guimenu> <guimenu>System Log</guimenu> ).
