No other changes. If I don't use btrfs, it always works, if I use btrfs, it always crashes. Looking at the logs you provided, it seems to me that something wrong in clients/bootloader_proposal.rb that tried to read settings prior to any proposed bootloader settings were written. That is very odd as those settings are initialized by proposed settings and shouldn't be accessed before that finished. So either there are other packages, which breaks something, or the different installation order without the other packages makes the difference. But this aborting issues should be caused by other faults. I can now reproduced this issue with either KDE or GNOME installation and in half way installer suddenly aborted, the point is installing packages not installing bootloader. Looking at your installer log, there are also the same signs. For the first two issues we have seperate bug reports, for the last two we need to create new ones. It's not acceptable that the customer sees a huge amount of error messages during installation. I will close this bug now and work on new ones.
