This prevents the system from booting up completely. Config: server:~ # egrep -v '^(#|$)' /etc/ntp.conf server 127.127.8.0 mode 16 prefer server 127.127.1.0 fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 8 driftfile /var/lib/ntp/drift/ntp.drift logfile /var/log/ntp keys /etc/ntp.keys trustedkey 1 requestkey 1 server de.pool.ntp.org iburst restrict restrict de.pool.ntp.org sntp in 127.127.8.0 hangs forever.
