In both cases the install program warns about needing a location defined for the BootLoader before installation can proceed. However the BootLoader config screen has no settable options so I cannot proceed. The two Macs had other versions of Linux installed on them previously (the PowerMac had Fedora 6, the iMac had many different versions of Linux installed but not at the same time - the last being Slackintosh). Note that this iMac seems to have a video problem (which may show up in the yast logs).
