[Bug 537049] New: words package contains capitalised words with no lowercase counterpart
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=537049 Summary: words package contains capitalised words with no lowercase counterpart Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: garmoan@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 This issue also relates to words-british. Taking two examples "Book" and "Art" - these two words are in /usr/share/dict/american and /usr/share/dict/british, however there's no "book" or "art" which are found in other *nix distro versions of words. This sounds reasonably trivial however, if spellchecking applications do use /usr/share/dict/* then there would be substantial false-positives on spelling errors for full-lowercase "book" and "art" I'm sure there are other words that are involved in this issue, however I can't quite find a good quick way of finding the differences between words file from different distros. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. grep -i '^art$' /usr/share/dict/* Actual Results: american:Art british:Art Expected Results: american:Art american:art british:Art british:art -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
