Why the hell is this set to blocker ?!? We released this product about 3 months ago! As you already said, you can use the vesa driver.
Because regular users don't always know the definition of those terms. It blocked him, so it's a blocker. Come on, don't be too harsh. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

please attach /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log (the latter after having restarted X). Why did you disable 3d acceleration?
I disable 3d acceleration because I have read in forums that this should be the problem (In reply to comment #5)
Also, what's the output of 'usr/sbin/sysp -c'?

I already said. It's simple: If there is flrgx drives -> openSUSE is blocked If there isn't flrgx drives -> openSUSE isn't blocked (In reply to comment #8)
I think we have a website on openSUSE.org, which explains the severity/priority in Novell's bugzilla rather good.
I think that you have a website bugzilla.novell.com that must explain the severity/priority -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Weird. In this case SaX2 should have written the BusID to the config file.I bet you stumbled across the same problem when using our (default) radeonhd driver, since it also supports both chips. Need to investigate this. Blocking in the sense of "it blocks me from further development for the distribution". You're right this could be documented better. Not sure where to request this. Maybe you can bring it up on some openSUSE mailing list. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Unfortunately I don't have a RadeonHD card with two graphics chips, but I tried to reproduce it with two radeon cards (1x PCIe, 1x PCI).
# sax2 -p Chip: 0 is -> ATI FireGL V3100 (RV370) 5B64 (PCIE) 01:00:0 0x1002 0x5b64 AGP radeon Chip: 1 is -> ATI ES1000 515E 06:00:0 0x1002 0x515e AGP radeon
Whatever I did - tried with 'sax2 -r', 'sax2 -r -m 0=radeon' (which is even wrong, since the second card is the primary card, check with /usr/sbin/getPrimary), 'sax2 -r -m 1=radeon' - sax2 adds the line
BusID "6:0:0"
so Xserver comes up.
Only now I have read the rest of the comments because i was trying for radeon. When I use 'sax2 -r -m 0=radeon' (0 is the primary card) after uninstalled fglrx driver, get displayed colored square and in one of these attempts I pressed "alt+k" to force the configuration, now when I use sax2, in failsafe mode, get displayed blank screen and all is blocked (also cntr+alt+canc). In normal mode all is blocked at the startup. I attach xorg.conf and sax.log. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
