At which point did it failed? - according to logs it looks like it actually did everything needed...
I haven't been able to decipher the YaST logs and haven't been watching the whole installation because I'm behind a 2mbit dsl line where the net install takes hours, so it is possible it finished and X doesn't come up afterwards, I'll investigate that. It is very unfortunate that there haven't been any openQA runs for a week either.
Ladislav, there are some errors from PackageCallbacks, is it known? Could it be caused by missing xset?
In 12.3, xset was automatically selected when choosing Xfce. control.xml parts for this desktop were not changed, so, Coolo? was there any change in patterns (xfce x11 base)?
See bug #845264 the X11 pattern was changed after Beta1 to only contain xorg-x11-essential from which rather essential stuff like xset is missing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You mean bug #837450? Feel free to mark as duplicate then, I guess my net installer image was too old to contain the fix.
bug #845264 and bug #837450 Plus Ladislav writes that some pkg-bindings issues were fixed. So I think it should be fixed by now, please retest with next builds. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
