In the software selection dialog dependency checking takes approx. 10 minutes! As autocheck is enabled by default this is completely unusable. When I choose KDE as my desktop, as usual, dependency checking seems to work fine. But it doesn't seem to be Gnome, you just have to add enough additional packages (kernel development, etc.). It gets dead slow. When selecting the Gnome desktop packages, I couldn't bear the waiting long enough. The laptop is back at the laptop group, but it could be tested again if this cannot be reproduced on other machines.
