What System Update do you mean? Did you run it from running system or booted from CD and selected installation mode? Could you provide screenshot and logfiles? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222937 ------- Comment #2 from evamaria.fuchs@novell.com 2006-11-22 07:56 MST ------- unfortunately I can't provide any screenshots yet. .. in the running system call YaST (Control Center) and select "System Update". The dialog "Update Settings" appears then click "Update Options", here click the "Select Patterns" button. The next dialog has no default initialization. Because is the "Select Patterns" dialog the filter should show "Patterns". Hope this helps! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222937 ------- Comment #5 from sh@novell.com 2006-11-22 08:09 MST ------- The PatternSelector / PackageSelector is only a view on the current data libzypp has in its pool. It will display the states of the current objects there, but it will not change any of them without user interaction. During installation or update, a previous step sets the desired objects (patterns, packages, whatever) to "install" or to "update". I guess this step is missing here or doing the wrong thing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Could you try to reproduce it in RC2? I'll try it later... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
