Programmer 2008-05-07 05:48:44 MST --- The only suggestion yast has to offer is to _not_ install the relevant package, because of failed dependency. After installing with zypper ( which does not complain about missing dependencies ) rerunning yast2 sw_single and executing verify system, yast2 returns: all dependencies are OK. In this mode, vendor changes and package downgrades are don't without asking the user. I.e. zypper gives you a list of changes you have to confirm (the y/n question). You can switch zypper between mode with some option (I think it's --force-resolution=on and --force-resolution=off).
