It built for all repos except openSUSE_10.3_Update, where libpcre.la was missing. The line

I'm strictly and only talking of the Updated repository openSUSE:10.3:Update How can you reproduce it easiest: grab the package from VirtualizationVMware, open-vm-tools remove the requires: pcre-devel from the spec file. It builds on ALL platforms BUT openSUSE_10.3_Update. And this simply because pcre-devel is not pulled in automatically (as I said: was no issue without updates... was introduced after GM). I'm not sure about the dependency chain at all... I tried the followin: I created a dummy package in home:dimstar, with a dummy spec. The spec contains: BuildRequires: gtk2-devel Tested it against 10.3 and 10.3/update On both platforms, pcre-devel is not installed. BUT: on 10.3/Update, the file /usr/lib/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.la exists, whereas in 10.3 (GM) it did not.
