[Bug 840851] New: KDE Logout Dialog placed inaccessible after using second screen
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=840851 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=840851#c0 Summary: KDE Logout Dialog placed inaccessible after using second screen Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jcarricksmith@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 After using a second screen with a greater resolution than my laptop and to "right of" laptop screen, even if the second screen is disabled/unplugged the lock/logout dialog is placed outside the area of the laptop screen. As it has focus it is possible to use keyboard actions as long as you remember what they are. Problem also occurs with the second screen in other positions relative to the primary laptop screen. It appears that the dialog is placed at the centre of what was the combined screen area before the second screen was disabled and disconnected. It doesn't appear to make any difference if I use System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Size & Orientation or KRandR. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Plug in second display and press the "Yes" button on the dialog which appears to configure the displays. 2. Make first display (LVDS1) the primary screen, second screen (VGA) enabled to "right of" LVDS1. 3. After use configure monitor and display to disable VGA. 4. Press lock/logout and you may, or may not, see some of the confirmation dialog. Actual Results: Confirmation dialog is positioned so that it is either not visible or only part of the dialog is visible. Expected Results: Confirmation dialog should be placed in the centre of the active screen if there is only one active. Happens on 32-bit as well as 64-bit systems. Has been happening for a few releases. Happens on computers using Intel and NVidia chipsets both using openSUSE Air theme. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
