http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=514332 Summary: SKIM prevents OpenOffice and Opera from typing, if exited OpenOffice crashes and dataloss there is Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: spamcenter@hotmail.com QAContact: kyu@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.64 (X11; Linux i686; U; de) Presto/2.1.1 After a while of working or switching the languages in my case from German to Chinese and back, one is prevented to type any characters or letters within Opera or OpenOffice. The mouse is still usable, so you can klick on save before the next step. If you have an OpenOffice document opened and you click on exit [SKIM] OpenOffice crashes. SKIM restores itself and you can type again. Opera does not crash if you exit SKIM, This behaviour occured first time in OpenSUSE 10.3 Instead of exiting you can also ende Opera and OpenOffice and restart them. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open OpenOffice 2. Switch several times between Chinese and English/German [CTRL-SPACE] and wait 3. Exit SKIM Actual Results: OpenOffice crashed Expected Results: Not crashing, not even been prevented from typing. KDE3.5 and KDE4.x.x x=means 1,2 and 3 all in use on different computers Happens if the environment is set as German. Did not check if this occures with chinese environment. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
