I am sorry, yes it is Kickoff. With all the changes going on, I have severe difficulty to know how to name some of the things.
Well, actually "Kickoff" is not presented to the user anywhere any more, it's just displayed as "Application Launcher" (while in KDE4 the mouse-over said "Kickoff Application Launcher".
Your are perfectly right with all the rest what you noted. Sorry if there should have been already duplicates, I searched but I did not find.
I'm not aware of this being reported already either, so it's good you reported it. openSUSE actually uses the new Kicker ("Application Menu") as default, that's the reason why this has gone through unnoticed I suppose (except for some users having problems with systemsettings in the forums/mailinglists, i.e. settings not having effect in Plasma5). At least that's easy to fix... ;-) One problem I still see though is that Kickoff migrates its favorites from the KDE4 version, so you'll probably still have broken entries when upgrading. I'm afraid there's not really a way to prevent this. We could probably ship an update script that replaces selected applications with their KF5 versions, but there's not really a general solution for that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

It also should have systemsettings5 instead of KDE4's systemsettings (many users already got confused by that)
Sorry, I got confused. The systemsettings entry is actually correct and does point to systemsettings5. The rest should be changed though, I suppose. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
