Jobs fail with file not found due to path not being mounted because of mtab corruption. rcautofs stop, fixing mtab manually and rcautofs start fix the problem for a while, but many jobs fail until we catch this. When /etc/mtab gets corrupted, logs show errors like "mount_autofs: already mounted", "/home: mount failed!". The latest RPM I could find is autofs-4.1.4-62.3 but it doesn't seem to have anything in the changelog about the above bug and NFS mounts broke faster than for 4.1.4-23. autofs-4.1.4-23 works better for us, except when race condition happens. Reproducible?: Can probably be reproduced with a huge mount map and a cron that runs every <autofs-timeout> minutes to access files under those mounts. Shouldn't take to long to see the "already mounted" errors.
