I notice that on startup of the machine, it sometimes fails to start X. I then have to switch to runlevel 3 and back to 5 to get gdm. The failed Xsession is usually on VTT 8 instead of 7 also kind of odd. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

It hasn't been submitted yet, but you can take the one from http://software.opensuse.org/download/X11:/XGL/SUSE_Factory/ . It contains several fixes that were only in SLE10-SP1 so far, and some fixes for Mesa. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=262297 ------- Comment #16 from eich@novell.com 2007-05-13 06:36 MST ------- I assume xgl supports randr 1.1? It's definitely a good idea to upgrade to 1.2 however this seems to reveal some more fundamental bug in either xrandr or Xorg or both: X extensions are supposed to be backward compatible. If Xgl annonces 1.1 to xrandr this app isn't supposed to issue 1.2 requests. Same is true for the server: if the client announces 1.1 it is supposed to stick to 1.1 semantics. At best the semantics of old requests isn't modified at all but only enhanced. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
