Yes,
we'll improve netconfig wherever possible, but for 11.2 and not 11.1.
VPN is one point, zeroconf (avahi) fallback support the second one, ...
As described by Jaan in comment #1, it is easy to configure the DNS
policy to prepend the dynamic entries. You can do it also with yast2.
Note, that the resolver is using only the first nameserver, except it
gets a timeout.
Prepending the vpn nameserver _changes_ to use the vpn nameservers and
this may break the setup of another users, because the domains hosted
on the local nameserver may be not visible any more and this would be
critical... I don't think it is is good idea to change it to prepend.
=> Because of the above reason, the request to change the auto policy
only is a WONTFIX. The request to improve it: feature 306342.
Best is to use a local nameserver (bind) with a per-zone forwarding,
but I don't see any possibility to configure it automatically just
having the data that arrives from e.g. DHCP.
BTW: Netconfig does not writes more than 3 name servers, because more
than 3 are not supported by the resolver; see also "man 5 resolv.conf".
