[Bug 531289] New: pam_mount does not mount from luserconf
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=531289 User werner.flamme@ufz.de added comment http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=531289#c1 Summary: pam_mount does not mount from luserconf Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: werner.flamme@ufz.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=313008) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=313008) Config an log of pam_mount User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090730 SUSE/3.5.2-1.1 Firefox/3.5.2 Yes, I know, I had this issue before, and it was fixed, but somehow the behaviour returned :-( I'm using pam_mount-0.47-12.14.1 on an openSUSE 11.1 box (Linux ufznx 2.6.27.25-0.1-pae #1 SMP 2009-07-01 15:37:09 +0200 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux), that is used as NX server with FreeNX. When logging in, most mounts are successful (one has a timeout sometimes), luserconf is read, but the mount ist not executed. BTW, the mounts work only since I modified /etc/ssh/sshd_config. The entries must contain "ChallengeResponseAuthentication no" - or else one gets errors like "pam_mount(pam_mount.c:269) could not get password from PAM system". I append the log and the config. I especially like the line saying 'option "nodev" required' and 'Luser volume for /home/wflamme/Documents/coder is missing options that are required by global <mntoptions>'. The conf has a line <mntoptions deny="suid, dev" require="" allow="*" /> Whether using this line or using three separate entries, it does not matter, "nodev" is always missing. This is typpically for ssh. From what I know is, that with ssh the session has not the same enviroment as auth has and the password cannot be provided via pam into the session. So this is a "ssh feature" :-)

It looks like that one patch is missing in our package which fixes this. Should be fixed in oS 11.2. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
