Between major releases of Firefox there are API changes and every extension hardcodes what is the latest Firefox version which it is compatible with. Sadly many many addons are not yet ported to Firefox 3. I expect that it will change fast when Firefox 3 is fully released for popular extensions. Beagle Indexer should work though. At least at some point a compatible version should have been checked in for 11.0. If it doesn't work on your system you should probably open an extra bugreport for Beagle.
