The messages appear only when run from virtual console (konsole, xterm, ...), but not in 'Ctrl+Alt+F1' console.
Sorry, not true. I get these messages, too, when shutting down the Rescue system from 11.1 GM, when my systems have LVM configured discs attached. From what I can tell the result, the left open file descriptors are inherited from environment. Nothing can be done from LVM's side then. And this warning message is harmless.
So I'm closing this as WONTFIX.
