https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=207911 ------- Comment #4 from jerbes@gmail.com 2006-10-07 09:59 MST ------- I updated the involved packages, and the problem continues. I have installed device-mapper, dmraid-1, evms-2 and multipath-tools; they are needed for local devices? They can interfere with this permission problem? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=207911 ------- Comment #5 from jerbes@gmail.com 2006-11-04 13:06 MST ------- Today I completed a new update under OSS 10.2 beta1 (november 4) and the problem continues. The only way to mount a Cd or DVD is as root in console with the old command mount. If I login in kde as root the permision problem appear again. Please tell me what packages are necessary for the right automounting in kde,(ivman is running) and what packages can interfere with the permission in the mounting process, or are not necessary. Make sure that there are _no_ /etc/fstab entries for your CD/DVD drives. /etc/fstab entries will disable the automounter; delete them completely. 2.
