Creating a new user with empty ~/ didn't fix. I also tried to set the proxy settings (none) for gnome directly via control center - no change. Unfortunately, I doubt we can update this for 11.1. According to http://en.opensuse.org/Statistics, Berlin is 2.6% of our users. Anja: do you think it's something we could release as a maintenance update?
