In the build service like I menitioned in the bug report I found a libffi that is the right one (3.0.9) with libffi.pc included.

In my experience, the distributions that lack .pc file for libffi, are propably building the libffi from gcc's sources instead of this separate project. If that's the case, they should move from the gcc's libffi to this one.
