[Bug 240398] New: Totem and Gedit does not open files in samba shares
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240398 Summary: Totem and Gedit does not open files in samba shares Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jeegiz@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Installed OpenSuse 10.2, with default Gnome desktop. I'm able to browse samba shares on Ubuntu and Windows XP computers with nautilus, however once I try to play shared movie with Totem, i get "could not read from resource" error. However once i copy movie to the local place, i'm able to view movie. The same story goes with the gedit. If i try to open txt file on shared location, i get "Unexpected error: Iternal error" message. If i copy file to local location i am able to open it. Looks like problem is with gnomevfs and samba client. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I did not see anything related to this in the changelog. I do not have a 10.2 machine so I can not test this package.
