Reading the bug description again, some more questions come to mind: Is it possible that this module opens multiple "steps wizards"? If so, that would explain the duplicated steps list. We only recently changed the behaviour of the dialog and wizard classes so that any wizard dialog that is opened from a "steps wizard" does not resize to fill the entire main window, but restricts itself to the right panel. The steps panel from the lower "steps wizard" remains visible. The idea was to avoid distorted proportions of those other wizards. Semantically, they are very much like pop-up dialogs (even though they are also docked to the main window (YQMainWinDock). We used to have the help panel on the left side for those secondary wizards which (intentionally) had the same size as the steps list. Now that for design reasons we no longer have that help panel, the proportions of those secondary wizards would be different (which quite a number of people didn't like with Alpha1..Alpha3). Thus we changed the behaviour.
