I had to switch it off, otherwise the import would always fail. Remove all disconnected IMAP accounts from your old ~/.kde4/share/config/kmailrc. Check for other cruft like folder definitions that don't have files anymore in your mail store. After all of the above, use akonadiconsole to restart the server and then remove all configured agents (leave nepomuk emailfeeder if you want to try it with indexing). Then start kmail-migrator --interactive. If you have a KMail maildir with mbox files in a folder structure, these seem not to import at all or only the folder names. Do not leave kmail running when importing mail with kmail-cvt (yes, you can start it stand-alone). If you need to move many messages from import folders to their real folder where kmail should see them, do it in the browser in akonadiconsole. these seem not to import at all or only the folder names.
