The first time, * running rcnetwork stop * saving NetworkManager * running iwconfig wlan0 essid puwireless * saving dmesg.log * running dhcpcd wlan0 did not result in a working connection (but doing rcnetwork restart and restarting KNetworkManager and trying again to connect several times worked in the end); here, I got the files and dmesg.log. The second time (one day later, with the same network), the same procedure (creating NetworkManager.2 and dmesg.log.2) resulted in a working connection. Here is a "ifconfig wlan0 up" missing.

* running iwconfig wlan0 essid puwireless * saving dmesg.log * running dhcpcd wlan0 did not result in a working connection (but doing rcnetwork restart and restarting KNetworkManager and trying again to connect several times worked in the end); here, I got the files and dmesg.log.

However, dmesg shows a lot of lines like wlan0: RX deauthentication from 00:14:a8:36:ab:b0 (reason=23) Reason 23 hereby means "IEEE 802.1X authentication failed". Either 00:14:a8:36:ab:b0 is the wrong AP or if it is the right AP it uses encryption.
