[Bug 222512] New: Confusion during installation
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222512 Summary: Confusion during installation Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: peter.schlaf@web.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com During installation of openSUSE 10.2 beta 2, when software packages were copied from cd to harddisk, a message box appeared telling me something like "Harddisk almost full. Should installation continue? Yes/No". I simply didn't know what to do, because what does "almost full" mean? It would be more helpful to know exactly if there is still enough space left on this harddisk or not. (Finally I answered "Yes" and it turned out that my 4GB harddisk had 7% space left after installation was finished.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

NB: To me it looks like the ckeck checks, whether everything fits on the systems root partition ( by using Pkg::TargetCapacity and Pkg::TargetUsed ). If you system has a small / and large /usr partition, warning might be triggered without need. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
