[Bug 229957] New: OpenSync doesn't delete deleted events. OpenSync reports conflicts and hangs.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=229957 Summary: OpenSync doesn't delete deleted events. OpenSync reports conflicts and hangs. Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: behlert@novell.com ReportedBy: 178155@glocalnet.net QAContact: qa@suse.de When I was testing for bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=228249 I noticed that events that I had deleted from my Korganizer calender weren't deleted from the phone after syncing. Today I decided to test this issue more thoroughly. 1. Cleaned the calendar in my SonyEricsson T610 completely. 2. Added two events in Korganizer calendar. "Test 1" today at 18.00 and "Test 2" at december 22 at 13.00. 3. Synchronized. Worked well, all events where transferred to the phone. 4. Deleted "Test 1" from Korganizer calendar. 5. Synchronized again. First of all msynctool reported a lot of conflicts? Very strange since nothing except for deleting "Test 1" was changed since last sync. I choosed alternative "1", the first entry on every conflict. The synchronizing proceeded but after a while it just stopped at "Sent Entry 0000E3150000 Changetype Added", after waiting for about 30 minutes I had to abort with Ctrl+C. The "Test 1" entry was not deleted from the phone. The phone probably not support RRULE (see above mentioned bug), can this be why msynctool reports all these conflicts? What happened when the synchronizing stopped, is it possible for you to figure this out by the attached trace files? When synchronizing with Kitchensync, deleted events are surely not deleted. I tried today with msynctool to get some trace files but unfortunately I ran into this other problems instead. I just hope you can get something out of the trace-files concerning this deleting issue also. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Cleaned the calendar in my SE K750i 2.) Added two events in Korganizer calendar 3.) Synchronized with msynctool 4.) Deleted first event from Korganizer calendar 5.) Synchronized with msynctool. No event was deleted. It seems that Korganizer write the new std.ics (located in kde/share/apps/korganizer/) while finishing. If you close Korganzier before starting the synchronization, I can't reproduce this anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
