https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=870878 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=870878#c0 Summary: Corrupted MAC on input Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: henrik.kuhn@origenis.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=584190) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=584190) hwinfo dump using latest openSuSE 13.1 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 Upon copying a large file (27GB) via scp the transmission cancels at different amounts of transferred bytes. Even upon using netcat the sha256 sum of the transferred content is not identical to its source. Same negative behavior is shown when TCP checksum offloading is switched off. Ethtool statistics error counters are zero. Nor any corresponding dmesg logs are generated. memtest86+-5.01 shows no RAM related errors. Using an other network card exhibits the same result. => A hardware related malfunction can be nearly ruled out to 100% because performing these tests with a booted system using SystemrescueCD 4.1.0 (Linux version 3.10.32-std410-amd64) is always successful. Whereas the test fail even with the openSuSE 13.1 Live CD! Attached are various informal files from the booted systems under test. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: - scp transfers of large files interrupts at different transferred content size - using netcat the source and destination content check sums are not identical Actual Results: scp cancels with message: Corrupted MAC on input. Disconnecting: Packet corrupt lost connection System details: Gigabyte Technology - Z87X-UD4H-CF Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 32GB RAM openSuSE 13.1 latest updates applied (3.11.10-7-default #1 SMP Mon Feb 3 09:41:24 UTC 2014 (750023e) x86_64) Used network cards: build in and Intel I350-T2 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
