[Bug 827609] New: "sudo zypper" fails in nfs-mounted folder
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=827609 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=827609#c0 Summary: "sudo zypper" fails in nfs-mounted folder Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: opensuse@akling.org QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 When I try to install/update packages with zypper (invoked via sudo), I get an error that the current directory can't be opened. This happens when the current directory is my home directory, which is mounted over NFS. This error does not occur in local directories. This bug also affects GUI-based package-management tools such as Yast Software Management or Yast 1-Click-Install (where you can't easily change the current directory), but no the PackageKit Software Update tool. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: $ cd ~ $ sudo zypper install gitg Actual Results: Output of zypper: Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Resolving package dependencies... The following NEW package is going to be installed: gitg The following package is recommended, but will not be installed due to conflicts or dependency issues: bundle-lang-gnome-extras-ar 1 new package to install. Overall download size: 146.0 KiB. After the operation, additional 511.3 KiB will be used. Continue?
