Hmmm ... AFAICR the plan was to support the old way with
rc<script> start
as well as
/etc/init.d/<script> start
Ok.
therefore the question rises why this does not work for the last case. On the SLES-12 here I see
d248:~ # rcnfsserver stop redirecting to systemctl stop nfsserver.service d248:~ # /etc/init.d/nfsserver start redirecting to systemctl start nfsserver.service
and it works
Yes, because all nfsserver dependencies are still running when you restarted the service. The issue arises if nfsserver is not enabled initially and started with /etc/init.d/nfsserver. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
