[Bug 333787] New: Process with 9999% load after suspend
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=333787 Summary: Process with 9999% load after suspend Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bugs@gregory.sax.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- A few seconds after resuming has finished from a suspend to disk a random process gets a load of 9999%, as reported by 'top'. It results in hanging severals apps which probably can't cope with such out-of-spec values. This does not occur after a normal boot process. It seems to be a known problem: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9135 http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux-kernel/2007/10/3/328324 http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/linux/kernel/830114 http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/3/31/115 * P4 Northwood with HT enabled 2.8 GHz * Updated from 10.2 /var/log/messages looks normal, as all other logs too.
