http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=583646 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=583646#c0 Summary: xpdf fails with "undefined symbol" after latest security upgrade Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dbischof@hrz.uni-kassel.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.2 Firefox/3.6 The latest security upgrade of libpoppler has worsened the situation for me, please also cf. bug #570183. The original libpoppler works for me, the first security upgrade as of January made xpdf segfault on certain PDFs (in particular those produced by ps2pdf), now I get an "xpdf: undefined symbol: _ZN12GlobalParams23setForceNoFTAutoHintingEPc" every time I invoke xpdf. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install latest libpoppler-glib4 libpoppler5 poppler-tools 2. xpdf file.pdf -> "xpdf: symbol lookup error: xpdf: undefined symbol: _ZN12GlobalParams23setForceNoFTAutoHintingEPc" 3. reinstall libpoppler-glib4 libpoppler5 poppler-tools from original 11.2 ISOs -> file.pdf displayed properly -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
