[Bug 301182] New: Need to add symlink /usr/bin/ python2 for Fedora compatibility
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=301182 Summary: Need to add symlink /usr/bin/python2 for Fedora compatibility Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Development AssignedTo: pth@novell.com ReportedBy: aaronw@doofus.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I am using a 3rd party development SDK package that is designed for Fedora. While everything works just fine under OpenSuse 10.2, it complained about /usr/bin/python2 missing. I just created a symlink so /usr/bin/python2 points to /usr/bin/python2.4 and turned off dependency checking when installing. It would be nice if this symlink could be added to the python RPM package for better compatibility. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
