1. How do I enable 'supported' tag/option in openSUSE kernel?
You have to enable SUSE_KERNEL_SUPPORTED in your .config and rebuild the kernel.
2. How many possibilities are in 'supported': 'yes', 'no' (anything else) ?
yes external no -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Are you sure? I'm looking into the SLES kernel git tree and there is no reference to SUSE_KERNEL_SUPPORTED, also checked a SP2 machine (/boot/config-3.0.74-0.6.8-default) and there is nothing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yes.
Not to be a pain, but you are wrong. You need to enable CONFIG_ENTERPRISE_SUPPORT=y to you would have the 'supported' tag/option. I've enabled CONFIG_ENTERPRISE_SUPPORT=y and now I have the supported option in the modules. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

No, I'm not, only you are not using the master branch... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Well I don't need the master branch, I need it the kernel for 12.3 so I took it from openSUSE:12.3:Update.
Ok, in that case you correctly use CONFIG_ENTERPRISE_SUPPORT=y of course. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
