[Bug 634208] New: Olympus x-750 camera cannot be mounted
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=634208 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=634208#c0 Summary: Olympus x-750 camera cannot be mounted Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rschweikert@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Just noticed that I cannot get my Olympus X-750 camera mounted on openSUSE 11.2 and openSUSE 11.3 when I connect the camera via USB. Same camera with same cable mounts with no problem on a system running openSUSE 11.1. Connecting the camera produces the following log entry: usb 6-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 10 usb 6-1: New USB device found, idVendor=07b4, idProduct=0109 usb 6-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 usb 6-1: Product: FE190/X750 usb 6-1: Manufacturer: OLYMPUS usb 6-1: SerialNumber: 000K19035883 scsi20 : usb-storage 6-1:1.0 After a while the following message shows up in the log: can not read '/etc/udev/rules.d/79-yast2-drivers.rules' The file exists, and is readable, but it is empty: ls -l /etc/udev/rules.d/79-yast2-drivers.rules -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2010-06-08 10:12 /etc/udev/rules.d/79-yast2-drivers.rules I am running GNOME and after the connection is detected a dialog is displayed providing options to take action. When selecting F-Spot an error is displayed "Cannot write to port". When selecting a Nautilus file browser window, the Nautilus window is displayed and apparently the content is recognized as picture data as the window displays the following message: "The media contains digital photos" and a button to start F-Spot is shown. However, the following message is then displayed (from Nautilus): "The folder contents could not be displayed. Sorry could not display all the contents of "FE190/X750": Failed to get file list: -35: Error writing to port" Also when I run "fdisk -l" the device does not show up in the list. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
