It seems to suspend correctly (I can't see any errors in /var/log/pm-suspend.log), but instead of waking up it just reboots. Again, no errors to be seen in /var/log/messages or pm-suspend.log. I'd be happy to provide any additional information you may need. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If not even numlock works, then problem is unlikely to be graphics card. BOoting with init=/bin/bash and suspending with echo mem > /sys/power/state would be useful test.
If I use init=/bin/bash (or if I use runmode 3 w/ framebuffer vga=...) and I suspend to RAM, then waking up works - except that the screen remains dark. However, if I suspend to mem under X11 (in KDM) the system freezes and nothing works (incl. numlock, sysRq keys etc.). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

(In reply to comment #15 from Rolf Offermanns) Works for me (TP43p) with: 2.6.27.2-HEAD_20081018191927-pae
For me it still does not work on a R61 with KotD kernel-default-2.6.27.2-HEAD_20081018191927 (x86_64, single-CPU dual-core, Nvidia NVS 140M). Am I reading comment 14 correctly that KOTD already contains the patch? With the new kernel the status is as written in comment #9: In console/FB mode, everything works except the screen remains blank. And for X11 ["nv"]: The laptop shortly becomes active but then fan/hard disk are quiet and the half-moon symbol remains on. I think there is some progress as numlock works (I'm not 100% but I think it didn't work before). Otherwise no caps lock, sys-req, ctrl-alt-del, etc. works. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

No, it doesn't. However, your symptoms don't match the pattern of this bug, so it must be a different problem. What was the last kernel your resume worked with? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
