[Bug 299221] New: IP address validation fails during install (won' t accept valid address)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=299221 Summary: IP address validation fails during install (won't accept valid address) Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 7 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: benjamin.j.mccann@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer I set up an FTP server on my Windows machine and tweaked the firewall so it was reachable. I was able to browse it from another machine, so I know it is configured correctly. I have 10.3 x86-64 KDE alpha 7 on a CD, put it in, hit F4 to choose FTP server, and then hit install. It appeared the openSuse install hit the ftp server while it was loading the kernel. It then took me into the normal install screens. I got about two screens in and it said it needed an install repository and I couldn't get past the error. For some reason it thinks 192.168.10.2 is an ill-formatted IP address.
