I did not realize that I had turned off the wireless with the hardware switch. The system locked up without printing any messages. I repeated booting and locking up the system until I found the wireless switch off. Linux mothra 3.4.11-2.16-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Sep 26 17:05:00 UTC 2012 (259fc87) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux 03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:4727] (rev 01) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use hardware switch to turn off wireless 2. Start using the radio. I used wpa_supplicant 3. Hard kernel lockup.
