http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615250 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615250#c0 Summary: SpamAssassin: DNS_FROM_OPENWHOIS scores for every mail Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: varkoly@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- In SpamAssassin, the DNS_FROM_OPENWHOIS scores for every mail because the blacklist used for it is dead. http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/Rules/DNS_FROM_OPENWHOIS http://www.dnsbl.com/2009/08/status-of-blopen-whoisorg-dead.html This means _every_ mail gets 1.13 points on openSUSE 11.1 servers. If I got the google result right, the rule even scores 2.431 points on openSUSE 11.2 servers - that means a good chance to produce false positives. Please release a SA update to remove this rule. Note: This bugreport is against 11.1, but please check all versions (11.2, the upcoming 11.3, SLES, ...) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
